The Reflection

When I realize what's happening in other countries I can't feel my legs from fright. It's one thing to stay silent for the sake of peace but quite another to let others take advantage of your kindness to manipulate you and leave you destitute. I'm not a fighter. I'm an artist. I'm the first to go in a war. First to be silenced. First to be quieted. First to be manipulated. Art holds a key to peoples hearts. It's a reflection of humanity. All great evils have manipulated the artists of their time to enhance their majesty. Manipulate the public and hide weaknesses. But I fear this time there will be no cover for us in the face of radicals who wish to erase our way of life and our way of reflection off the face of the earth. What most artist don't understand is that we are the most vulnerable to manipulation in society because we are so fluid in our expression. In a war the kind are taken advantage of the same as in love. This obviously poses a great decision to be taken upon the artists of the free world. Do you stand by your nation and all the reflections they've given as a free human? Or be ultimately subdued in the face of radicals hell bent on destroying everything you've ever reflected on. It is out of cultural abundance that artists are borne and in kindness and love of learning that we flourish. A world were neither environs are present would ensure the demise of western arts and reflections.
